Special
statutes govern changes in school district boundaries after events
such as municipal annexation of land. Further, the statutes are supplemented
by Ohio Department of Education rules and procedures, as well as case
precedent on how the State Board of Education may previously have
decided similar territory issues. Members of the firm have worked
extensively with this body of law, both in terms of seeking to enlarge
the territory of a school district, and resisting encroachment by
a neighboring district.
