Mr. Glenn D. Waggoner was born in Findlay, Ohio, and was raised on
a farm in Hancock County, Ohio. He graduated from Arcadia Local High
School in 1967, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism
at Bowling Green State University in 1971, where he was recipient
of the University's Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Waggoner worked as a newspaper reporter for Ohio newspapers from
1971 until 1973. In 1973, he became a Washington correspondent for
Ohio newspapers including The Columbus Dispatch. While working in
Washington, he earned a Juris Doctor degree from The National Law
Center, George Washington University, graduating with honors in 1979.
He left journalism in 1979 and worked for two years on Capitol Hill
as a Congressional Aide for two Subcommittees of the United States
House of Representatives. In 1981, Mr. Waggoner returned to Ohio and
began the practice of law.
In his years of legal practice, Mr. Waggoner has concentrated in the
area of litigation. He has tried cases in various Municipal Courts
and County Courts of Common Pleas. He has also tried cases in the
United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and
in the United States Tax Court, as well as in various Federal and
State Administrative Agencies. He has also argued appeals in Ohio
Courts of Appeal and in the United States Court of Appeals for the
Sixth Circuit. In addition, he is experienced in numerous other areas
of law which are relevant to the firm’s clients.
Mr. Waggoner is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the
Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys. Also, he is a former member
and Chairman of the Rocky River Civil Service Commission, Rocky River,
Ohio, and is a former member and President of the Board of Trustees
of the Rocky River Public Library.
