Mr. Lautar is an Associate with Pepple & Waggoner in the firm’s Cincinnati office. Mr. Lautar counsels boards of education on a variety of matters, including unemployment compensation cases, OHSAA eligibility appeals, collective bargaining negotiations, and employee discipline matters. He also serves as the firm’s primary Board policy author. Mr. Lautar attended Miami University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Political Science and Journalism. While at Miami, he worked as a beat reporter for The Miami Student and co-hosted a weekly radio program for WMSR, Oxford. He received his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. During law school, he served as an Editor for I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society, and as a Mediator for the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. In addition to obtaining a J.D., he also earned a Certificate in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution while at Ohio State.
