Ms. Maurer serves as Associate Attorney with Pepple & Waggoner. Her practice focuses on litigation, employment matters, special education law, including representation in due process hearings, and general school law representation. In her litigation practice, Ms. Maurer has successfully represented Ohio school boards in trial and appellate court litigation, real property tax valuation disputes, workers’ compensation claims, employment discrimination charges, and a variety of other school-related disputes. After earning her B.A. and graduating magna cum laude from the Scholars Program of The Ohio State University, Ms. Maurer received a Dean’s Full-Tuition Scholarship to Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and graduated magna cum laude. While attending law school, she served as a legal extern to the Honorable Ann Aldrich of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in her Torts, Evidence, First Amendment, Comparative Constitutional Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution classes. She was also awarded the Pro Bono and Community Service Award for three consecutive years, as well as the Frank L. Bartak Memorial Fund Award: Outstanding Student in Torts, and the Charles Auerbach Memorial Award: Outstanding Student in Evidence.
